I became very interested in the '57-'60
F-series at a very young age thanks to my Dad. Of the '57-'60
F-series, he owned a 1957 F-100, a 1959 F-100; he also drove
1959 and 1960 F-1100's for a living. My Dad would take me everywhere.
As we would drive down the road we would spot these years (they
where "a dime a dozen" back then). He would explain
to me the differences between them, how to identify them, and
many other great facts. When I turned 16, his '59 was no longer
running and sat parked. I showed so much interest in it, that
he finally handed it down to me and it became our project. Over
the years the 1953-'56 Fords seemed to gain the most popularity.
Then came interest in the trucks of the '60's. It seemed as
though the 1957-60 became "the forgotten years". I
believe this is starting to change.............
After joining FTE, I learned there
are others who share my interest in these "vintage beauties".
I decided to devote my ClubFTE website to these years, and share
what I've learned in hopes that it may help others. With a "nudge"
or two from a very good friend (Thom B. a.k.a. Stockman), and
all of his help, the site has finally arrived. Thank you Thom!
